U-Connect Human Resources Limited on June 29, 2016, launched Gr8jobsng an e-commerce HR Service platform that is the first of its kind in Nigeria and Africa as it handles the full range of HR services: Recruitment, Pre-Assessment Test, Verification, Training, and other HR services. Gr8jobsng targets Multinational Companies (MNCs), Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s), professionals, job seekers of all levels, and Professional Training Institutions (local and international). The platform can also be accessed via a Mobile Application which is available on Windows, Google Play, and Blackberry.
Gr8jobsng caters to three different types of users are Employers, Job seekers, and Professional Training Institutes (PTIs).
This novel platform has multiple features that include a job board and a training board that attracts candidates, training participants, employers, and Training Institutions alike from across the African continent and the world at large.

Victor studied Sociology at the University of Ibadan from 1976 to 1979. He obtained Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos and later studied Law in the same University. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1996. Following a 6-year HR work experience in a private company in Lagos, Victor joined Nigerian Breweries in 1986 as Personnel Manager, initially at Headquarters Lagos.
He later transferred to Kaduna as Brewery Personnel Manager. He returned to Lagos HQ to assume a new position as Job Evaluation Manager. In preparation for his new role, Victor had a 6-month on-the-job attachment to the UAC Remuneration Adviser and the Unilever UK Remuneration Department.
He attended Remuneration Techniques Workshop at the Unilever Head Office in Black Friars, London, complemented by on-the-job attachment in the Personnel Department of various Unilever Production sites in the UK. Victor’s function was enlarged to combine Job Evaluation and Remuneration, thus becoming the first HR Specialist in the Company’s history to head the Reward function.
Much further into his job evaluation career, Victor attended several Hay Job Analysis/ Evaluation Workshops in London, Paris and Cape Town thus becoming one of the first Hay Certified Job Evaluation Specialists in the Nigerian HR Community. Victor was later appointed Industrial Relations Manager.
In this role, he managed Employee Relations, Collective Bargaining, Employee Engagement, HR Policy Development and related matters at corporate level. He was subsequently appointed Manpower Development and Training Manager with responsibility for Management Recruitment, Career Planning, Talent Management, Learning and Development. As Manpower Development Manager, he developed and implemented the Nigerian Breweries Campus Management Initiative (CMI), now one of the key pillars for attracting bright young Nigerian graduates into the organization.
He also developed and implemented a Performance Appraisal Calibration System, to ensure objectivity and transparency in the company’s appraisal process. In 2002, Victor was seconded to Heineken Corporate Headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. In Amsterdam, he worked first, as Human Resource Consultant in the global team of Heineken Hay Job Evaluation Specialists.
Subsequently, he was appointed HR Policy Development Officer; Manager – Corporate Social Responsibility for Africa/Middle East and lastly as Human Resource Director, Africa/Middle East.
In this last role, he supervised the HR function across Heineken operations in the region, traveling extensively in Central, West and North Africa as well as the Middle East. He returned to Nigerian Breweries in October 2008 to assume the role of Human Resource Director.
Whilst on cross posting in Holland, he was privileged to lead core HR projects in East and Central Europe, The Netherlands, Switzerland, North, Central and West Africa.
Victor attended Executive and Senior HR Leadership Development Programs including the Unilever General Management course at Four Acres, Surrey UK; Cornell University Utaka New York State, IMD Lausanne Switzerland, London Business School UK and Harvard Business School, Boston Massachusetts, USA, among others.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Victor served actively in the various organs of the Institute for many years and eventually was elected President & Chairman of Council of the Institute from 2013 to 2015.
Omon Odike is the CEO and Managing Consultant of U-Connect Human Resources Limited, One of Nigeria’s leading Human Resource Companies and Founder of Gr8jobsng: the first of its kind HR Recruitment online platform in Africa. As an Entrepreneur, she is credited with introducing innovative solutions in Human Resources; positioning the U-Connect brand as a trail blazer in the HR Consulting Industry.
Omon is responsible for leading a team of HR professionals who have placed over 20,500 candidates with various local and international companies, provided HR Advisory and other HR related services.
Her experience spans over 19 years from Legal Practice to HR Consulting and she is very passionate about youth empowerment, employability and employment as well as women in business.
She also holds a Certification in Quality Management (ISO 9001-2000), the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Owners Manager Programme (LBS) and CMB etc. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), CIPM and an Alumni of Lagos Business School (LBS).
By 2013, she had taken the company to new heights and was recognized by Allworld Network USA, Michael Porter of the Harvard Business School in conjunction with the Tony Elumelu foundation as a Nigeria Fast Growth 50 Award winner, where U-Connect received an award as one of the 50 fastest growing private firms in Nigeria. She also received a Certificate of Excellence from the Allworld Summit in Harvard, USA in the same year.

As part of her Vison to empower Women, Omon Odike is currently the Host of an Online Talk show on YouTube called “Omon’s Couch” which she set up to inspire and empower Entrepreneurs to build successful businesses and help professionals thrive in their respective careers.
He holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Benin and began his career in sales and customer services in Maersk, the global shipping leader. Rising steadily through the ranks, his role expanded to include business development, relationship management and key account management across different subsidiaries.
This rich experience fueled his passion and committed for customer service excellence, which has continued to be the driving force behind his entrepreneurial success. In 2004, Ikenna founded U-Connect Telecommunication Service Ltd, a call center management and technology outsourcing company, which as recorded significant growth and now provides services for blue–chip clients in several sectors. On the heels of the successful launch of U-Connect, in 2005 Ikenna partnered with Inter-Active Technologies Pty-a South Africa based Call-center Company, to set up Customer Contact Solutions Nigeria Limited. OUTCESS was appointed in the same year by Aspect Software Inc.as Channel Partner for the West African region in recognition of its commitment to the development of the call center industry in West Africa.

Responsible for driving the turnaround initiatives that resulted in the profitability improvement of a leading Sub Saharan African Bank from an ROA of 1.4% to 3.5% over a 15 month period.
Led Initiatives that turned half of the branches (over 30 in number) of a leading Bank in Ghana from loss making status to strong profitability over a period of 12 months. Ike is the Managing Partner in the city Law Firm of Benchmac & Ince. A Public Private Partnership practitioner, he has built up a wealth of experience advising the Federal Government in landmark transactions that have greatly assisted in infrastructural development in Nigeria. He actively participated in the electric power sector reforms and in negotiating and concluding several successful privatisation in the sector to strategic investors and concessionaires.
He was a core member of the Benchmac & Ince team as Transaction Advisors in the privatization of PHCN successor companies that revolutionized the Nigerian Power Sector. He is also a member of the legal team that is working on the ongoing Corporate Restructuring of Niger Delta Power Holding Company and private sector participation in the operation and ownership of the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP) generation assets and investment protection of NIPP gas, transmission and distribution assets.
Currently, he is on a World Bank funding for providing legal support to the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading Plc (NBET) to enhance their negotiating capacity in respect of certain Power Purchase Agreements (and ancillary documents) to be entered under the Nigerian electricity & Gas improvement project. He is also advising the German Agency for International Cooperation, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on Competitive Procurement System for IPP Renewable Energy Generation Capacity in Nigeria.
Ike is also providing legal consultancy to several United States Agency for International Development (USAID) projects in improving infrastructure in Nigeria He seats on the boards of a number of Nigerian Companies providing necessary support. An avid golfer, he believes in achieving excellence in all endeavour of life.
